Water News Europe launched during Aquatech

On 3 November 2015 Water News Europe was launched at Aquatech in Amsterdam. The online medium, offering independent news on European water matters, was celebrating this milestone together with the established Dutch water medium Waterforum. Together Waterforum and Water News Europe are eager to improve the quality of water news in Europe.

Water News Europe is online since 2014. Last year the number of visitors increased to 1500 persons every month and on Twitter more than 600 waterprofessionals started following our reports. Articles about European water legislation, like the privatisation of drinking water companies in the Member States, the implementation of the Water Framework Directive and also articles about floods, innovations and infringement procedures are very well read.

Expansion
The coming year Water News Europe wants to expand. We are looking for specialised, water journalists in the different Member States and we are also looking for water professionals who are prepared to blog about the water situation in their country.
