French water technology company Saur acquires Nijhuis Industries, one of the largest industrial water treatment companies. The acquisition follows rapidly after the acquisition of the Dutch water technology company Econvert. Sauer wants to strengthen its international market position in the field of industrial water services.

According to Saur the acquisition of the Dutch company fits in the growth strategy for the activities in the field of industrial water treatment. Together with the Italian company Unidro, Nijhuis and Econvert will become part of a new platform for industrial water that aims for growth the current annual turnover of 200 million euros to more than 300 million in 2022.

Synergy

Saur expects synergy by combining complementary technologies, customer portfolios and geographical presence. In addition the Paris-based company wants to maintain the entrepreneurial spirit and agility of the separate partners. With the help from the French headquarters the new platform aims to provide large long-term operational and maintenance services to global industrial customers.

Worldwide reference player
